Insight Survey is a tailored solution for surveys and data analysis created specifically for a market research firm in order to make surveys easier to create and collect responses, store data, and generate reports.

This solution was created with the help of WordPress and its customization of the Gravity Forms features that satisfied all of the client’s needs related to surveys within a particular budget and time frame. The administrators have the ability to create and manage surveys, customize form fields, control responses, analyze data through graphical reports, and export data into different formats. Through the use of Gravity Forms and custom development, the needed functionality was obtained.

1. Need for a Highly Customizable Survey Platform

It was necessary to design surveys for different target users with different business needs. Standard solutions will lack the flexibility required to meet the demands of form building.

2. Small Budget and Short Deadline

The client wanted a custom solution, but there was a small budget and also a need to develop the system within a certain deadline. Building a whole survey platform from scratch would lead to longer development time and more money spent on it.

3. Advanced Data Analysis Functionality

Different types of data analysis were needed, in table, pie chart, bar chart, etc. formats to make collected data easier to interpret.

4. Filtering before Report Generation

There was a need to filter data according to a certain date range and conditions, and generate a report after that.

5. Custom Design

The client has already provided the design for survey forms. There is a need for custom design implementation along with the existing functionality provided by Gravity Forms.

Dashboard

Provides administrators with consolidated survey insights through graphical reports. The dashboard displays the overall average of answers for each question and allows administrators to filter results based on a selected date range.

Survey Management

Administrators can create new surveys by adding relevant fields and can view, edit, and delete existing surveys from the management interface.

Form Field Customization

Administrators can customize survey forms by adding, editing, and deleting fields. Fields can also be hidden or deactivated and reactivated when required.

Report Visualization

Survey responses can be displayed in different formats, including tables, pie charts, and bar charts, helping administrators analyze collected data more effectively.

Report Filtering

Administrators can filter survey records using date ranges, conditional logic, and specific field values before generating reports.

CSV & PDF Export

The platform allows administrators to export filtered survey reports in both CSV and PDF formats for further analysis and sharing.

User Management

Administrators can create and manage sub-admin accounts, manually provide login credentials, and view, update, or delete sub-admin users.

Survey Notifications

When a user submits a survey, the system automatically sends an acknowledgement email containing a thank-you message while notifying the administrator about the new submission.

The existing Gravity Forms functionality was customized to support the client’s specific survey, reporting, design, and data management requirements.
